to enter the full address, a search may run on just part of the address e.g. “Manor Park Nether Heyford” may be
shortened to “Manor Park” or “Manor”. Note - When searching on part of an address, this may pick up unrelated
information not relevant to your search.
A self certification notification (F, FE, EL) will not be displayed if a parish search is used.
Valid Date formats
Please note the format for dates is DD/MM/YYYY
(i.e. 01/01/2005, 1/1/2005)
General Advice
When searching the building regulations register you may not find some properties. This may be due to several
reasons, such as the properties or sites being known by two or more names, different spellings or applications on
land where the site address does not resemble the new property address. To widen your search it may be useful to
start by using the parish search facility only. Drawing a blank on the results may mean that there is no building
regulations information on the property (searching back to 1992). The Council cannot be responsible for the incorrect
addressing of a property held on this register, or for information not found as a result of improper searching. The
Building Control section can undertake the search facility on your behalf but this may be subject to the payment of
a fee in advance. Contact Building Control at South Northamptonshire Council.
Building Regulations Applications/Notices are completely separate from Planning Applications. You are advised to
also check the Planning Application Search Facility.
